Live Weather Navigation for Long Distance Tourer
Long-distance motorcycle touring presents significant challenges when riders encounter sudden, unexpected weather changes. Adverse conditions like heavy rain, strong winds, extreme temperatures, or snow can compromise safety, reduce visibility, traction, and maneuverability, and increase accident risks. Prolonged exposure to bad weather also causes discomfort, fatigue, and health issues.
Effective strategies are needed to mitigate these impacts, ensuring rider safety and a more enjoyable touring experience.
PROBLEM STATEMENT
IDEAL SOLUTION
WeatherNav introduce the user to check live-weather updates on the go, so that users could pre-plan for the upcoming routes, letting them to avoid sudden weather changes and discomforts. The platform provides rider focused navigation which allows minimal uses of of their phone, by adding only essential use cases such as Calling, Music, Podcast while navigating.
Focused riding help the users to maximise there focus on road and reducing unnecessary distractions which enhances the safety on the road.

Stay informed about the weather along your route! Pin points on the navigation map provide real-time updates on the weather conditions at specific locations ahead. Be prepared for any changes in weather and plan your journey accordingly.
DESIGN EXPLORATION
Stay informed on the weather as you navigate with intuitive live weather updates. Easily view the current conditions with a glance, keeping your focus on the road. Minimal information load for maximum convenience. The first screen displays route color coding system, a weather map with routes color-coded to show different types of weather conditions. Similar idea on the second screen shows, the weather update through the different color coding of top information component. Third screen displays color coding of the routes denoting the upcoming weather for the dedicated location.
Weather forecasts are not always perfect, so it's important to be adaptable and use your best judgment when deciding to ride. By staying informed and prepared, motorcyclists can navigate changing weather conditions with confidence and prioritize their safety on the road.
